We lived in Klamath Falls for a couple of years and in the mornings during the warm summer months, mom would put out the sun tea jar packed full of tea bags. During the course of the day as Leah and I would play, we'd watch the tea slowly infuse the water. By evening, we'd all enjoy iced-tea.
Once we moved to Washington DC and were older, Leah and I didn't have time to wait for sun tea. We'd set a big pot of water on to boil and 1-2-3 instant tea. Leah would immediately fill her glass with ice, only to have the hot tea melt it instantly. She was always the impatient one...
It's funny how a photo can trigger a memory like that.
