When I set up this shot, everyone standing in front of the slots scooted out of the way. I suppose no one wanted to be caught stuffing their face.

Via Jasper I found DPZine.nl (in Dutch, registration required), a new digital magazine for the pro-amateur. The spotlight photographer has three tips for the up and coming photographers:

  • Presentation: Be sure that your prints and presentation are perfect. Spend time on your book or folder or whatever medium that you use for your presentation and be sure that all your shots are the same size.
  • Style: Make it clear, also for yourself, what you photograph and/or are willing to photograph and profile yourself that way.
  • Experience: Look internships or positions to assist an experienced photographer. Practical experience is the best teacher.
