I'm so proud of myself. Not only is our tree decorated, and our Christmas menu already decided, I even managed to get all our Christmas cards ready for the posting tomorrow. This is a major accomplishment for me.

Every year I go around to all my friends and make sure I have updated addresses. I buy fancy cards months in advance, with the thought that I'll have them all in the mail by the Dec. 15th. Last year I even shot a whole roll of film, thinking that I'd add one photo or two to each card. You know, as a treat.

This year I made no such promises to myself. I didn't collect any address. No fancy cards or art supplies for making my own (I did however take a photo, 50 copies of which are being printed this very moment!). I kept it simple.

Keep it simple - this is my mantra for the New Year.
